The art of flower: The infiorata in Castelbuono

During the first week of June, Castelbuono is decorated for the Infiorata (flower festival).

Annual event which takes place in the city centre and consists on creating drawings only by using natural elements (petals, leaves or ground). Each edition has got a theme that is dveloped through these drawings usually represent saints, cartoons, and more.

The period of this venture ends on Sunday with the parade of the historical procession and the mastery of flag-throwers. During this last day, you can also see the master pastry chefs from Castelbuono making floreal creations only by using sugar and chocolate.
